What exactly is a hater?
I feel like that's a super strong word.
Some describe a hater as mild as a person who doesn't agree with you,
To as serious as someone hating on your success,
To intense like a verbal keyboard warrior who posts hurtful things about you online that they would never say to your face.
Or maybe they would.
You see, hurt people, hurt people.
But you can't take it personal.
Haters used to destroy me.
Growing up as a people pleaser, I was WRECKED if someone didn't like me.
In fact, I wanted people to like me so much that I forgot who I was.
I forgot what I wanted.
I forgot about my own needs and my health.
Forget path of purpose, I didn't think that far.
And it costs me a lot of time, happiness, and memories.
It led to getting into a career that sabotaged my health.
As a nurse I worked 12-16 hour shifts in the ICU, barely getting time to use the bathroom and eat, where stress was immense,
And I flip flopped day and night shifts, completely messing up my sleep.
It led me to dating the wrong men. Those who cheated on me, lied to me, and used me.
But it's easy to blame.
The fact is that I ALLOWED this into my life,
Because I didn't have a clear path of purpose.
I opened the door for the bullies and the haters.
And only I could change it.
With at home workouts, a lot of personal development, and a change in my belief, my path became clear.
Marry a man who loved me unconditionally.
Get rid of the negativity and people pleasing.
Serve others in their health and with their habits.
And grow an online coaching business,
So I could take care of my health, meet an amazing man, have kids, work for myself and have freedom.
And that's exactly what happened.
Our thoughts, words, and actions are SO POWERFUL.
But guess what?
I still have haters and I welcome it.
Haters mean you aren't irrelevant.
You're stirring something up inside of them, challenging them, and they are taking time to comment about it.
With my past choices, I was completely unnoticeable.
Today, I know I have a legacy and I'm changing lives with my podcasts, blogs, courses, book, and coaching.
With the past, I couldn't see heart centered people vs. energy suckers and users.
Today, my gut can spot someone I don't jive with right away.
Appreciate your haters, it means you're putting yourself out there, setting boundaries and staying in YOUR lane.
And if they don't like YOUR work,
Challenge them to go do it better.
