A one woman musical journey about self love and breaking generational abuse.
Told through the eyes of the main character, Luna, it’s a battle between her Inner Shame and Inner Warrioress to step into her big britches and stop trying to make herself smaller to be loved. After a barrage of text messages from her mother, and almost being wiped out by a transport truck, Luna finds herself questioning everything about her life and how she got there.
Journey through her life of heartbreak, bullying, eating disorders, mental health, and coming out of the darkness of generational trauma to finding her light.
25 characters, 7 original songs. It’s truth and triumph for anyone who has ever felt lost, unimportant, or disregarded.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the show… I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The brilliant and sometimes subtle ways you alert the audience to a character change was mesmerizing… the transitions were incredible… the performance was so flawless… your timing SO exceptional… that I was certain you had performed the play countless times. It really is baffling how the world tries to keep us small. Like that ‘Gopher Game’ in carnivals where you take a mallet and bonk peeking heads of gophers back in their holes. Lisa’s dueling personalities, ‘Warrioress’ and ‘Shame’ are in all of us as we grow and develop to discover who we are. Most of us can relate to the narcissistic parent whom we can never get approval from. Lisa is more than triple threat! Playwright, Acting, Song writer, Singing, AND Dancing? She needs a bigger theatre!

Our parents that are supposed to be our guiding lights do not always come properly equipped with the life tools we need to help us solve our problems, and when their toxic behavior is in fact at the root of many of our problems, it can be quite a journey to overcome them. This show takes us on that journey, and shows us the light at the end of the tunnel!

Her story was well-paced and since it was about her personal journey to self-love, I thought Lisa really nailed highlighting the exact right parts to get her story across. Easily one of the top 3 best solo performances at the festival-no question. I still cannot believe Lisa is a first time performer & writer; she commands the stage and pen like a seasoned pro. Her message of self love starting from a child to present day is so inspiring. The idea of self love is lacking in our society and very needed right now. I hope as many female identifying people can see this show as possible! I LOVED her music and use of a live accompanist. Her piano player offered so much dynamic support to the production. I loved her theatrical portrayal of “Shame” and “Warrioress” contrasting with her central, realistic character of Luna and her Therapist character-this created excellent conflict and tension.

The theme- well there were various themes. There was singing and dancing. It was well put together and the story was clear. There was no unnecessary clutter. Such vulnerability on stage spoke to me as a woman. There was a great mix of characters. The American Sign Language interpreter was excellent. She fit right in. A relatable story that is part of our society today.

The stories she weaved through to underline the main thesis led to a beautiful final moment, a full circle moment of profound self acceptance. I was so inspired! Lisa is a passionate performer, lyricist, and all around artist. The music was catchy and creative and the multiple characters she played were distinct. The show was executed with perfect comedic timing throughout although it surrounded heavy topics such as eating disorders and abuse, which is a difficult skill to master.It was a fantastic show with a powerful message of self-love and overcoming trauma.

What I love about this show is how honest it is. The message is simple but powerful: self love, self love, self love. Who hasn’t had that voice of Shame tell us we are not good enough? Lisa does a masterful job at making the audience feel Luna’s struggles. Her energy on stage and her commitment to the honesty of the character was honestly inspiring. Holy f**K! I’ve been an avid fringer for the past 10 years.
That is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen! It was so well done it appeals both to woo woo’ers
and those who have no woo! I can see how much work you put into it, it was smooth like
butter. The thing I love most about it was your message of self love, finding and dealing with
your shit, and moving into a bigger life.This was so inspirational for me and I can see it speaks to
a large percentage of people. I really hope you get it into a lot more Fringe festivals as a virtual
play. And I also think you should get it into junior high and high schools as it speaks to all ages
and could do the best work with the least confident of our society.

with Greg. Such an inspiring story of overcoming (sadly), toxic mothering. I love your therapists
line about two ways to grow with trauma- that’s so very true. I thought your therapist was way
better than many characterizations, but most therapists don’t ring true to me as a therapist

While most of us were baking banana bread,or buying overpriced gym equipment or some
other numbing activity to get through the pandemic, my friend not only learned to act, sing,
and play piano, she wrote a one-woman play about her experiences with a narcissistic
mother, shame, making herself smaller to find love, and growing up. AND performed it for
the first time in Los Angeles last week.
We watched the virtual performance last night and were so impressed. Even though I knew
her story, I was captivated throughout the entire thing.
Lisa your courage, discipline, curiosity and yes, talent, are so impressive. Thank you for

I thought I was attending a table reading and Lisa delivered a full-blown experience on my computer screen. If I knew I would be moved from laughter to tears and everything in between I would have not worn mascara that day. Her characters are so vivid, her songs touch your heart, and I could feel Lisa's energy through the camera lens. At that point, which was very early on in the process, I said the only thing that will make this better is the stage to unleash Lisa. I want to see more. I still find myself singing her original songs and will be one of the first in line for the soundtrack. If you've ever struggled with self (and we all have) this is a MUST SEE. I can't give it justice in my words - you just have to SEE IT, EXPERIENCE it! Incredibly powerful!

Lisa had me mesmerized from the minute the show started until the ending. It touched me in many ways. It has depth – it’s raw, bold and tender. I cried, I laughed, and I cheered. My only wish was that the show was even longer as it’s that good. The message is powerful, needs to be heard and life changing. The music is contagious, and you will want it on your go-to play list. It’s one play that I will see multiple times and can’t wait for its Broadway debut!

Very entertaining personal piece with an important message of self-love with beautiful music and lyrics. WOW!!! The time went by fast.The performance was fun to watch. Very well thought out. The music was really fantastic and left me wanting more.
Lisa is a passionate performer, lyricist, and all around artist. The music was catchy and creative and the multiple characters she played were distinct. The show was executed with perfect comedic timing throughout although it surrounded heavy topics such as eating disorders and abuse, which is a difficult skill to master.It was a fantastic show with a powerful message of self-love and overcoming trauma.
I don’t know Lisa very well (or rather, she doesn’t know me very well — after seeing this show it feels like I do know her!) so this might be odd to say, but I am SO PROUD of her. What an honest and beautifully shared story. Empowering and vulnerable and brave. Brava!
The music was beautiful and iconic. I still have the song “Smaller” stuck in my head. Loved everything about it.
What I love about this show is how honest it is. The message is simple but powerful: self love, self love, self love. Who hasn’t had that voice of Shame tell us we are not good enough? Lisa does a masterful job at making the audience feel Luna’s struggles. Her energy on stage and her commitment to the honesty of the character was honestly inspiring. And of course, having really great empowering music added to this very powerful story that I believe a lot of people could connect to! Broadway bound! Congrats!

Holy f**K! I’ve been an avid fringer for the past 10 years.
That is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen! It was so well done it appeals both to woo woo’ers
and those who have no woo! I can see how much work you put into it, it was smooth like
butter. The thing I love most about it was your message of self love, finding and dealing with
your shit, and moving into a bigger life.This was so inspirational for me and I can see it speaks to
a large percentage of people. I really hope you get it into a lot more Fringe festivals as a virtual
play. And I also think you should get it into junior high and high schools as it speaks to all ages
and could do the best work with the least confident of our society.
Oh my effen god you are amazing. Your show was fabulous. You are an amazing person 100x

I streamed your show. Wow! You were so terrific. Your script was great, the characters were
amazing, your songs were to die for good! I just loved them all. And what a beautiful love story
with Greg. Such an inspiring story of overcoming (sadly), toxic mothering. I love your therapists
line about two ways to grow with trauma- that’s so very true. I thought your therapist was way
better than many characterizations, but most therapists don’t ring true to me as a therapist
myself. Good luck with future performances, that’s my hymn of praise!
OMG what a ride, I just finished watching it because I couldn't let this day end without
seeing it for myself. Thank you for doing this, the entire journey has been incredible to be
part of, and what a voice on you women! Well done and I would love to see this again each

I am STILLLLL blown away by your solo play last night! It was spectacular....YOU, the
delivery of it all, the messages it relayed, your portrayal of the guys in your Life (hilarious,
btw), the way "Shame" spoke and acted 'her' part.....it was ALL beautifully done!
While most of us were baking banana bread,or buying overpriced gym equipment or some
other numbing activity to get through the pandemic, my friend not only learned to act, sing,
and play piano, she wrote a one-woman play about her experiences with a narcissistic
mother, shame, making herself smaller to find love, and growing up. AND performed it for
the first time in Los Angeles last week.
We watched the virtual performance last night and were so impressed. Even though I knew
her story, I was captivated throughout the entire thing.
Lisa your courage, discipline, curiosity and yes, talent, are so impressive. Thank you for
sharing it all with us.

I thought I was attending a table reading and Lisa delivered a full-blown experience on my computer screen. If I knew I would be moved from laughter to tears and everything in between I would have not worn mascara that day. Her characters are so vivid, her songs touch your heart, and I could feel Lisa's energy through the camera lens. At that point, which was very early on in the process, I said the only thing that will make this better is the stage to unleash Lisa. I want to see more. I still find myself singing her original songs and will be one of the first in line for the soundtrack. If you've ever struggled with self (and we all have) this is a MUST SEE. I can't give it justice in my words - you just have to SEE IT, EXPERIENCE it! Incredibly powerful!

Too Big For Her Britches" is a MUST see show! If you can only choose one show this year, it MUST be this one. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. Lisa had me mesmerized from the minute the show started until the ending. It touched me in many ways. It has depth – it’s raw, bold and tender. I cried, I laughed, and I cheered. My only wish was that the show was even longer as it’s that good. The message is powerful, needs to be heard and life changing. The music is contagious, and you will want it on your go-to play list. It’s one play that I will see multiple times and can’t wait for its Broadway debut!
I laughed, I cried, I healed. Lisa has a powerful story with a well-crafted performance. The central themes that we all struggle with have you growing and healing right alongside Luna. A must see!
From the very beginning of Lisa's show, I was captivated by her story. Lisa's storytelling sparked so many emotions inside of me and took me on an inspiring journey as I cringed in fear for her, laughed in pure joy, and was inspired by her strength and perseverance though her whole presentation. I loved Lisa's songs, her message, and her characters. Each touched a part of my heart and have changed me for the better because I was honoured to watch her show.
The table reading of 'Too Big For Her Britches' was like NOTHING I have EVER witnessed in my 59 years on the planet...as a fellow performance artist. Lisa channeled this incredible expression of her very relatable & moving Story into such beautiful ART.
We (the audience) were with her every breath of the way as she relived her experience through prose & song...playing every character in the most fascinating & entertaining way.
I cannot WAIT to see this incredible show on Broadway where it NEEDS to be, as at a deeper level, I believe it will help humanity heal much trauma as most of us were not raised in the families we wanted.

Lisa Pezik
Playwright, Actor, Co-lyricist
Lisa Pezik is a brand strategist, content marketer, playwright, solo theater artist, songwriter and former RN and Fitness Instructor, making her world premiere of her first solo show Too Big For Her Britches.As an official SELECTION in Solofest, Lisa is premiering in LA and will also be performing in Hollywood Fringe and United Solo. United Solo is an off Broadway debut at the prestigious Theatre Row off 42nd Street in New York city.
Lisa is no stranger to storytelling. She’s a professionally trained speaker having presented her stories and strategies in Canada, the US, and the UK, as well as writing two #1 International Best-Selling Books. Later this year, Lisa is stepping onto a larger stage with TEDx and will be featured in a major movie production that she can’t disclose at this time.
Prior to her agency and theater work, Lisa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the York College of Pennsylvania where she worked as an Intensive Care Nurse, Palliative Care Specialist, Director of Nursing, and Nurse Educator. She also has an extensive background in wellness as an ACE Certified Fitness and Nutrition Specialist, Youth Specialist, and a Pain Free Movement Specialist.
Lisa is a dual citizen of the US and Canada and her greatest joy is her family. Her husband Eric, and her son Oliver Kai. When she’s not performing or running the agency, she’s taking care of their small herd of two dogs, two cats, and Oliver’s favorite, two pet rats.

garnered many awards, including SELECTION for Solofest, the largest solo performance festival on the West Coast, SELECTION by United Solo NYC for OFF BROADWAY performance, two-time ENCORE AWARD WINNER and BEST ACTOR nominee for the Hollywood Fringe Festival and two-time SELECTION for the prestigious and international LA Women’s Theatre Festival.
Heather is also the co-creator, producer and lead of the comedy series Down The Middle, featuring Tom Bergeron, currently on the festival circuit. Her most recent television recently appearance was on NBC’s This Is Us.

Jessica Lynn Johnson is a published playwright, recipient of BEST NATIONAL SOLO ARTIST AWARD, Advisory Board Member of the LA Women’s Theatre Festival, Director for Whitefire Theatre, and Founder & CEO of Soaring Solo Studios. Jessica has aided in the development of over 100 solo shows (and still going strong)! As a performer, Jessica has “edu-tained” international audiences touring her own one person shows ZE and OBLIVIOUS TO EVERYONE for over 15 years.Jessica’s projects have taken home awards such as TOP OF FRINGE, HFF ENCORE PRODUCER AWARDS, TVOLUTION BEST SOLO PERFORMANCE, LARRY CORNWALL AWARD FOR MUSICAL EXCELLENCE & several other accolades! Jessica was also nominated for the Female Director of Distinction in Theatre by Girl Trip LLC at the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Drew Lawrence is a multiplatinum songwriter and producer. His song “Jar of Hearts,” co-written and performed by Christina Perri, was an international smash. Drew’s songs have been recorded by worldwide major label artists including Leona Lewis, The Backstreet Boys, Lea Michele,
Shane Filan (Westlife), Stinaj, Jaira Burns and many more. He has contributed songs to albums for Lindsey Stirling, Madilyn Bailey, Chris Jamison (The Voice) and Fede Le Grand, which all charted on the Billboard Hot 200.
Drew is also a recording artist and tours the country with his group “The Dales.”
Pamela Najera Michael
Dance Choreographer
Pamela Najera Michael, originally, from the Philippines journeyed to the United States in 1979. Practically, a California native, Pamela was formerly a full time medical assistant and switched professions at 35.
She danced professionally with a background in jazz, ballet, and hip-hop forover 15 years. Pamela has found true satisfaction in being of service to herfellow solo-artists in designing a ‘uniquely-you’ choreography fit for any levelof dance or none at all. Pamela also wrote, produced, and performed in herown one-woman-show, TOO OLD TOO ASIAN TOO SHORT.
