The 3 Most Powerful Moves You'll Make in Life

I heard a friend once joke that she doesn't mom on Saturdays.

That was true for me yesterday as I was sitting 3rd row with Sam Smith about 10 feet away from me.

I wasn't thinking about my little dude getting spoiled at Nanny's,

The macro plans, mindset plans, and business plans I'm helping my clients with online,

Or even about my handsome husband standing next to me who I've recently started "dating" again.

I was immersed in the moment, listening to someone who's music has impacted my life,

And feeling an immense sense of gratitude for how I got here.

I work HARD.

And it's easy to think I had success given to me.

I STILL catch myself green with envy somedays when I look at others,

But I know envy, comparison, and assumption isn't a path I want to stay on.

In the words of my mentor, Bo Eason,

"Players PLAY. Spectators.. well. spectate!"

There are 3 big moves you MUST make in your life to get exactly what you want.

For me, it was 3rd row (I'm shooting for 1st next time around) at a concert of my dreams.

What would it be for you?

1) You must set boundaries around your dreams.

Write out in detail exactly what you want in life. Some use vision boards or daily journals, I like to write out and revisit my "best day ever."

What time do you want to wake up? How many hours a day will you work? But more importantly, who will be around you?

What will you see, smell, and hear everyday?

Once your path is set, you must say NO to anything or anyone that doesn't fit in that path.

It's not that you're selfish. It's that you ARE putting all your eggs in one basket, and you're protecting that basket.

Just like the mamma robin that sits on her nest she's made in our backyard gazebo, you've got one job to do.

Say NO to the distractions and obstacles.

It could be getting lost in Facebook land (guilty) or Netflix.

Taking on another role or project at work.

Creating another course or PDF.

Sleeping in, instead of getting up and tackling your dreams.

Choosing fast food over positive clean fuel for your body.

Make the decision to say NO and right the ship if you need to.

2) Don't say I can't afford it, ask who can I serve to generate it?

Mastermind, Travel, Renovations, Concerts, Dining Experiences.

If you look at our "books" per say, my husband and I can't afford any of it.

Or at least that's what our rational mom and dad, why spend money on ourselves brain says.

Buyers remorse can be real.

But that's only if you have a scarcity mentality.

A mantra I say to myself often is

"I'm a bad ass money making machine and there is money all around me."

That's adapted from the book You Are A Bad Ass at Making Money.

Decide that you can do it.

Anything that stretches or brings you happiness (within reason meaning I'm not talking drugs or prostitutes!)

To these things, say YES first. Say YES to your life.

And go work your ASS off to make it happen.

3) Contribute to things that matter.

Maybe that's dating your spouse again if the fire has run out.

Truly setting aside your phone and focusing 100% on your kids.

Raising money for that charity.

Writing that book.

Finally tackling emotional eating or past hurts and pain so you can be free.

Legacy isn't something for when you're gone.

It's the here and now.

Spend your precious time contributing to things that matter.

All the rest is just noise.
