Weight loss is a compound effect.
This isn't a new principle.
Eat well, move your body, sleep, drink water sensibly, let go of negativity.
We all KNOW what we should and shouldn't be doing.
But most people, including me, don't do it consistently, and frankly,
That really sucks.
I can't tell you how many times I've yo'yo'ed my weight,
And I'm a business and wellness coach. I KNOW BETTER.
And I need to find a way to make it stick.
I've been 130lbs, 250lbs, a size 2, a size 14,
But none of that matters.
What matters is mindset.
So, like a good coach, when my affiliate company came out with the 2B Mindset Program, I bought it.
And I dug into the videos.
I picked up some amazing tips and I really started to identify why I emotionally eat.
Patterns that developed from when I was a kid.
But still I felt easily overwhelmed by staying "on track."
Then it hit me.
All of my training, knowledge, products and programs at my finger tips are all part of my toolbox.
I..... have to decide when and how to use them.
It's easy to jump on the bandwagon of the latest trend, try the program that your neighbour lost 20 lbs with, or eat a certain way,
But that's not to say its going to work for you.
So here's what I decided to do.
I looked at the Beachbody on Demand workout library and I found all the programs that are 7 days.
Clean Week, Shawn T Week, A Week of of Hard Labor, Shawn T Week, A Little Obsessed (5 days), and then the light bulb went off.
SMUS- Small Wins Until September.
I busted out my planner and scheduled in the weekly workouts.
5-7 day goals.. I can handle that!
Then, as much as I try to get away from it, I'm a macro girl.
Blending my knowledge of 2B Mindset and my macro knowledge of eating for my body type,
I started logging my daily weight and my food intake.
WITH NO JUDGEMENT.
If the scale goes up, then I know what foods trigger that.
Down, then I know what to replicate.
The scale, my tracker, it's just a measuring tool to help me clue in to what's going on in my body. (Thanks 2B mindset for that flip.)
I'm taking it day by day, week by week, and my goal is to be 30 lbs lighter by September 13th.
Why September 13th?
That's my next Sam Smith concert, my favourite artist, and I want to celebrate!
What small wins can you set up in your schedule?
How will you celebrate when you achieve them?
I have a plan, a goal, a purpose, and it's broken out into small chunks.
One week in, and I'm down 5lbs with the "A Little Obsessed" Program.
My mindset is different.
And I'm in the driver seat.
Will this be the "be all, end all for me." Not sure, but for right now it makes sense and I'm going with it.
What will you try?
