Sustained motivation is the name of the game,
But let's face it, some days you just don't have it.
Whether it's the post weekend blues or a full out depression,
I'm here to tell you that I see you, I feel you, I hear you, and I want you to know that you matter.
I can't say that I lose motivation often, but anger is an emotion that I'm hit with often.
My therapist, self love, reiki and yoga master friends will tell me that anger is a cover up emotion.
It's burying something deeper that I don't want to address, and that's usually the start of "not feeling it" moments for me.
I get angry when I have to do things like laundry.
I get angry when I have back to back to back meetings, calls, workshops, sports for Oliver.
I get angry when the workload feels so huge that I skip my morning routine and dive right in.
But when I look at it,
I am the driver of my anger. I am the over-scheduler.
The first part of rallying is to take ownership.
What are you allowing or not allowing in your life?
What truly can you control?
The second is to ask yourself some hard questions.
Simple by nature, but perhaps you've been avoiding the answer.
Does this really make me happy?
That question opened up my eyes to business opportunities I had to walk away from,
And people and things I had to start saying no to.
Lastly, you have to ask yourself,
Do I love the end result?
I can't say that every single day I love podcasting, blogging, leading workshops.
I can't say that every single day I love meal prepping or making that bulletproof coffee.
I can't say that it's easy to say I'm sorry when I get mad at my husband (there's that anger again.)
I can't say that it's easy to leave Oliver with Nanny and Papa while we travel to California for masterminds.
But I do love our life.
I love the home we've created, the business we've created, the life we are creating for ourselves and Oliver.
I love the results we get our clients.
I love the financial security.
So that makes it worth it.
Rallying isn't about rah rah someone- make me feel better.
Rallying is about putting the pen to paper, respecting your time, and knowing that you have complete control over your life.
You may just have to tilt the lens.
