Social media is the quickest, cheapest way to start engaging and it doesn't take a degree to master it. Just make sure whatever platform you pick, you're building a buying audience through consistency. Everyone wants posts to go "viral", but I'll take consistency over being a one hit wonder any day. But if you're not sure where to start content wise, here are the four most common emotions that make posts go viral.
We were actually having so much FUN that we paid extra that night to extend the wedding until 2 am. Although wedding wasn't our business, it was still about providing an experience. When making an offer in your actual business (or if you're not an entrepreneur, when asking for a raise or picking a job). It's all about the experience.
I was hitting a serious funk in my business in the Fall of 2018. I wasn't feeling my network marketing business anymore. I was also hosting monthly workshops, teaching my ass off, to people who never intended to hire me, at a studio where I couldn't control the marketing. The days of the workshops came and I didn't even want to go!
"Things have to change." We'd sit at the kitchen table or crawl into bed exhausted from the day. "We don't spend any time together." And slowly and slowly our "for better or worse..." union was starting to grow apart.
Rallying isn't about rah rah someone- make me feel better. Rallying is about putting the pen to paper, respecting your time, and knowing that you have complete control over your life.
I walked to the center of the stage and I delivered my one true sentence, "I moved 400 glorious miles away from Mommy Dearest." The crowd laughed (ironically I wasn't trying to be funny!), and my mentor, Bo Eason, commented on how strong, powerful, feminine, and unapologetic I was. I was holding my stance, smiling, and for the first time in a long time, I felt good.
It got me thinking about my younger self. My scared, timid, not confident, shy self. The people pleaser, yes ma'am, desperately seeking approval- self. I realized how much I've shed that skin. How I'm not the same woman I was in my teens or my twenties, and how I got there. To being confident, achieving my dreams, and writing my own destiny. It was a mindset and focus shift.
So friends, before you go calling me an A-hole because I kindly decline your phone call or coffee date. Or before you go asking another service based provider for free advice, think about it. I'd rather just go for a coffee or phone catch up because we're friends.
Underestimate me, That'll be fun. I never identified with that quote, but this past week, the "gentlemen's club" put me in an interesting position.
